For local & co-op partners
Built to work alongside existing infrastructure, not around it
Sustainability 1st isn't trying to replace the grid, the water utility, or the local co-op — we're building systems for the properties and situations those networks don't reach well, or don't reach yet. That makes us a natural fit for partnership rather than competition: shared infrastructure projects, demonstration sites, workforce development, and rural resilience planning.

Areas of interest
- Coordinating on rural broadband and connectivity gaps
- Partnering with utility co-ops on distributed generation pilots
- Working with county planning offices on land-use and permitting for off-grid systems
- Supporting regional economic development goals tied to the Colorado Rural Jump-Start program
We're headquartered in Costilla County and building our flagship site there now — if there's a fit with work already underway in the San Luis Valley, we'd like to hear about it early.
